Computer Game Ideas

Pre 2002

This is an idea for a 3D game that could be simple,
yet addictive. It can be one player or multi-player.

Imagine a 3D world, with or without walls. The
player is a human. The view can be either first-
person or third-person.

An enormous transparent ball roughly two to
three metres across floats serenely above the
ground. It is filled with a liquid, and has a very
strong, yet elastic skin. This enables the ball to
oscillate and wobble, creating funny views of
the opponent when the ball is close to them.

The ball has a lot of inertia, but no weight. The
players' feet are firmly planted on the ground.
(Magnetic boots in a zero-gravity environment?)

With a series of well-placed punches and kicks, the
ball is sent wobbling across the playing area towards
the opponent. The opponent must then distribute
a series of punches and kicks to slow down and
reverse the direction of the ball. Because the ball
is constantly changing shape, it is important to
skillfully place the punches and kicks, or the
ball will envelop the player.

Any ball-game-type rules and scoring systems
can be added to this concept.
